Your first company
Contract prices, order rules and credit limits apply to B2B company locations. The Set up your first company step on Today is done as soon as one company location uses Termpact.
There are three ways to get there:
- Approve a trade account application. See Reviewing applications.
- Use a company you already have in Shopify. Open Customers in Termpact, pick a location, and assign it a price list.
- Let Termpact walk you through it. Select Set up a first company on Today.
The guided first company
Section titled “The guided first company”The guide asks for:
- the company name and its first location
- a contact email — your own email with

- a price list, or a new one with a percentage off your regular prices
Termpact creates the company, location and contact in Shopify, links them and compiles their prices; the page then shows the setup’s progress. Sign in to your store with the contact’s email to see the contract prices.
Demo data
Section titled “Demo data”To try Termpact without touching real customers, choose Add demo data instead. Termpact creates:
- one demo company with two locations (a second currency if your store sells in more than one)
- a demo price list with a percentage off a collection and a few fixed prices
- six demo products, only if your store has no products yet. They’re active but not on any sales channel: publish them to your online store to see them there.
Everything is tagged termpact-demo. Remove demo data deletes exactly those objects and nothing else.
If your store already has B2B companies, Termpact asks you to confirm before adding demo data. Only the store owner and admins can use the guide and demo data.
