Scheduled price changes
Use a scheduled change for a yearly price review, a new contract or a promotion that starts on a set day. Buyers keep today’s prices until the moment you choose, then the new ones apply.
Schedule a change
Section titled “Schedule a change”- Open the price list and choose Scheduled changes.
- Pick the date and time it takes effect. The time is in your store’s time zone; 00:00 is the start of the day.
- Choose Create the next version. Termpact copies the group’s settings, rules, fixed prices and quantity breaks into a next version and opens it.
- Edit the next version like any price list: base % off, rounding, rules, fixed prices (including CSV import) and quantity breaks. A banner at the top shows you’re editing the next version.
A price list can have one scheduled change at a time. Changes you make to today’s prices after you schedule aren’t copied into the next version, so make them in both if they should last.
What buyers see
Section titled “What buyers see”- Until the change takes effect, buyers pay today’s prices. Orders placed before then keep their prices.
- At the time you chose, the new prices apply within seconds. Items already in a cart show the new price the next time the cart updates.
- Buyers get an email with their new prices before the change, as many days ahead as the group’s Buyer notice days (default 14). Set it to 0 to send no email. If you move the date, they get a new email with the new date.
Change the date or cancel
Section titled “Change the date or cancel”On Scheduled changes, choose Change date to move it, or Cancel change to delete the next version and keep today’s prices. Archiving the price list also cancels its scheduled change.
If your store’s time zone changes, a scheduled change keeps its local date and time.
When a group ends
Section titled “When a group ends”If a price list has an Active to date, Termpact emails your owners, admins and pricing managers 30 days before, and the group page shows a reminder. To keep the prices, extend the date or schedule a change.
If a change can’t take effect
Section titled “If a change can’t take effect”If something stops the switch (for example the new prices would no longer fit in Shopify’s limits), today’s prices stay in place, the change is marked Failed and you get a notification. Fix the next version’s prices and schedule it again.
