Convert to native catalogs (Shopify Plus)

On Shopify Plus you can assign B2B catalogs to company locations. A catalog sets the price directly, so checkout needs no app discount. Termpact can set those catalogs up from a price list.

Open the price list and choose Native catalogs. The tab only appears on stores that can assign catalogs to company locations; on other plans a catalog applies to a whole market, so Termpact keeps pricing your companies.

Before anything changes, Termpact shows what converts:

  • Today’s contract price of every product, as a fixed price in the catalog. Percentage rules, fixed prices and rounding are worked in, using the same pricing as checkout.
  • The base discount, for products you add later.
  • Quantity breaks counted per variant, as Shopify quantity price breaks.
  • Company prices, in a catalog of the location’s own.

There’s one catalog for each currency your locations buy in.

  • Prices are today’s. Later changes to your regular prices, or to the group in Termpact, don’t reach converted locations.
  • Quantity breaks that count across a product’s variants: Shopify counts each variant on its own.
  • Keeping sale prices for items that go on sale later, the minimum margin, and the group’s end date.
  • When a location has more than one catalog, Shopify charges the lowest price, so company prices above the group price don’t apply.

Choose Convert to native catalogs. Termpact creates the price lists and catalogs in Shopify as drafts, turns them on when all are ready, and then stops the app discount for those locations. Nothing changes at checkout until the catalogs are on. If Shopify refuses a step, the conversion stops and the locations keep Termpact pricing; choose Resume to carry on where it stopped.

While a price list is converted, its locations can’t move to another group and the group can’t be archived.

Choose Roll back. Termpact archives the catalogs in Shopify and the locations get Termpact pricing again within a few minutes.
